At Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, we have ongoing support groups for Alzheimer’s patients and their loved ones. Taking part in a group can help caregivers and others find ways to cope, get support, reduce isolation, learn how to deal with challenges and obtain additional information. In some cases, support groups for patients run concurrent with support groups for caregivers.
Some of our support groups are offered through a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization focused on Alzheimer’s care, support, education and research. Various support groups for patients, family members, friends and caregivers include:
- Caregiver Support Group (held in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association)
- Caring for Elders
