## Why choose Sutter?

Having a heart attack or stroke is scary by itself, but when it also reveals you have coronary artery disease (CAD), it can feel overwhelming. CAD is the most common heart disease in Americans. It’s caused by narrowed and hardened coronary arteries that obstruct blood flow to the heart. Common symptoms include chest pain and shortness of breath, but it’s also common for people with CAD not to experience any symptoms.

Our heart specialists provide advanced diagnostic testing and treatments to thousands of people living with CAD every year. We combine data from our cardiac CT scans and fractional flow reserve technology to create color-coded 3D image of your coronary arteries. This breakthrough technology allows us to accurately diagnose and treat CAD at its earliest stages. We also offer several other noninvasive and catheterization techniques to treat CAD, slow the progression of the disease and even potentially reverse its effects.
