Compassionate Reconstructive Care

If your child was born with a congenital defect, know that you and your family are not alone. Congenital defects affect one in every 33 babies born in the United States each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Functional abnormalities such as clubfoot, cleft palate and cleft lip can be fixed shortly after birth by plastic surgeons in the Sutter Health network.

We work with you to develop a treatment plan that sees your child through surgery and comprehensive rehabilitation. To best treat your child, the team of craniofacial specialists often includes a dentist, orthodontist, oral surgeon, pediatrician, geneticist, speech pathologist, pediatric dietician, audiologist and ear, nose and throat surgeon.

Our approach is similar for pediatric hand, foot and ankle conditions, such as clubfoot. Plastic surgeons partner with an orthopedic surgeon, pediatrician, physical therapist, occupational therapist and geneticist to treat your child’s condition and put your child on the path to better health. Throughout Northern California, our hospitals are ranked by Becker’s Hospital Review as being in the top 100 hospitals in the United States for excellent orthopedic care.
