The CardioMetabolic Program offered at Mills Health Center is a medically designed and supervised weight management program that focuses on stress reduction along with healthy eating and exercise. It is ideal for obese people who have high blood pressure, high cholesterol or other cardiovascular concerns, as well as those undergoing cardiac rehabilitation for heart disease.
CardioMetabolic Program participants meet in small groups of eight to 12 people every week for four months. Each session is led by trained healthcare facilitators, including a doctor, nutritionist and fitness expert. Together, you develop effective stress reduction techniques, healthy eating habits and good exercise regimens.
The CardioMetabolic Program differs from other weight management programs in one key aspect: It focuses on the cultivation of a deeper sense of well-being in life.
