My approach to caring for my patients stems from the idea that this is best achieved through a concerted team effort. I encourage parents and patients to actively participate and lead in the decision making process while I guide them every step of the way with my unique clinical and educational experiences and knowledge in this vast and complex field of Pediatric Neurology. In this regard, I function as the coach, the parents are the team captains and the patient is the star player.

Also, I focus not just on the neurological disorder that is affecting the patient, but I see the patient as a whole and take into consideration the various other body systems that may be affected since the brain/nervous system also depend on its team (the mind and body) functioning optimally.

Finally, this practice as a whole functions according to this general principle of the team effort and this allows us, from the clerical staff, to the medical assistants to the nurses and then to the Physicians/NP, to seamlessly care for our patients as well. Everyone on this teams loves what they do and it shows and we strive to pass that sense of being valued and satisfaction on to our patients every day.
