Thoughts from Our Leader
Generosity is more than a gift. It is about a perspective, or a vision of what could be. At Sutter Health we provide an opportunity for our donors to fulfill their own philanthropic mission and vision through our organization, and it is a privilege to walk alongside each one as they see their vision lived out in our patients and providers every day. While the last year was one filled with challenges, it also created opportunities for innovation. In December, Sutter Health achieved an incredible milestone with more than 1,000,000 video visits completed by Sutter clinicians since March — as compared with 7,000 video visits completed in all of 2019. Our donors helped make the purchase of equipment possible for this important effort, through their giving.
Our donors have long been the difference makers in how we transform and deliver care at our hospitals, care centers and homes all across the Valley Region. Through our network of care, Sutter Health is uniquely positioned to serve as a national leader for healthcare transformation — discovering, testing and proving models of care that disrupt the status quo and usher in a new era of care. It is a powerful mission and one we have the privilege to work to fulfill through our not-for-profit status and through philanthropy partnerships.
In 2021, I know some things will never be the same, but some things won’t change: like the impact of your gift. This has never been greater, and philanthropy has never been more important.
As we continue to reimagine our practices to deliver high quality care to our patients with a focus on a safe and supportive environment, I am looking to 2021 with optimism and hope to explore your passions within our organization.
I continue to be grateful for your generosity and support, and invite you to think about what you would like to accomplish with your money that would be meaningful to you. Reach out and let’s talk about it.
