# Volunteer at Sutter Care at Home Santa Rosa

Volunteers are an important part of our team of nurses, social workers, home health aides and chaplains who provide compassionate care for people receiving hospice care.

## Role description

You can provide family members with a much-needed break for a few hours each week. You might run errands, write letters, provide companionship, read aloud or just listen to the stories from their lives. Other volunteer opportunities to choose from include therapeutic massage, bereavement support, special events, community outreach and office assistance.

Here are just some of the ways Sutter Care at Home volunteers make a difference in peoples' lives:

-   Patient support
-   Bereavement support
-   Transportation services
-   Thrift store support
-   Office support
-   Special events
-   Pet therapy
-   Massage therapy
