Pastoral Care Program
Local pastors are invited to conduct rounds monthly to visit with patients and offer prayer to patients and staff. For more information about the program, contact Morgen Jarus at email@example.com, or (707) 262-5121.
Patient Experience Council
The Patient Experience Council is a group of people passionate about ensuring our patients receive quality healthcare while having the best possible hospital experience. We are looking for patients or their family members who are interested in joining our council as community representatives.
Patient/family consultants serve for a 12 month term during which they meet for two hours monthly. To be a patient/ family consultant, you need to be either a SLH patient or caregiver/family member of a patient. You should be willing to share insights in a group setting about your experiences.
For more information about the council, contact Morgen Jarus at firstname.lastname@example.org, or (707) 262-5121.
Benefits of Volunteering
"There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." — John Andrew Holmes
Volunteering is a wonderful gift that can be given to patients and the community. Volunteers meet people, make new friends, use their skills and acquire new ones. They feel a sense of accomplishment and perhaps the most important benefit is satisfaction of knowing they are contributing to their community and making a difference.
