Auxiliary
The Sutter Solano Medical Center Auxiliary is now taking applications for volunteers over the age of 18 who would like to assist patients and visitors at our Information Desk, in our gift shop or as part of our Family Support Service working in the Emergency and Trauma Departments. There are many different shifts and areas of responsibility currently open.
Volunteering Opportunities
Sutter Solano Medical Center’s Guild Volunteer Program is currently seeking dedicated volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and no experience is necessary.

- Acting as a greeter
- Serving in the guild office
- Operating the hospitality cart
- Helping with the teddy bear program
- Assisting at the thrift shop
After successful completion of an application and interview, volunteers attend an orientation and training program. Please call the Guild to learn how to get started, (707) 554-5387.
Sutter Solano Medical Center Thrift Shop
Community members can support the guild by shopping for gently used items including clothes, accessories, shoes, housewares and more. Profits directly support the guild's philanthropic efforts at Sutter Solano Medical Center. The shop is also a great place to donate children’s toys and clothes, holiday decorations, books, and other items. Donations can be made during regular business hours.

Benefits of Volunteering

"There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." — John Andrew Holmes
Volunteering is a wonderful gift that can be given to patients and the community. Volunteers meet people, make new friends, use their skills and acquire new ones. They feel a sense of accomplishment and perhaps the most important benefit is satisfaction of knowing they are contributing to their community and making a difference.
Contact
Our patients, visitors, staff and physicians are very grateful for the generosity of our volunteers.
