Manoj K Mittal, MBBS, MSc, is a neurologist, neurointensivist, and Medical Director of Stroke and Neurocritical Care at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento and Sutter Valley Area of hospitals. He is board certified in neurocritical care and neurology. He is a volunteer faculty of UC Davis, Sacramento and is actively involved in teaching neurology residents.
Dr. Mittal investigates use of novel therapies for acute ischemic stroke, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, autoimmune encephalitis, super-refractory status epilepticus, myasthenia gravis, Gillian Barre syndrome, and traumatic subdural hematoma patients. He has authored more than 40 research articles in national and international peer reviewer journals. He is passionate to improve the quality of care for neurologically ill patients.
Dr. Mittal obtained a Bachelors in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery (MBBS) at University College of Medical Science in Delhi, India. He completed an internal medicine internship at Resurrection Westlake Hospital, Melrose Park, IL; a neurology residency at Kansas University Medical Center; and a neurocritical care fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He did his masters in translational Research from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
