Sutter Amador Family Residency Program

In 2019, Sutter Amador Hospital partnered with the Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Sacramento and received a federal Health Resources Services Administration grant to start the Family Medicine Rural Residency Track in Amador County. The program received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in 2020. The program will rely on support from foundations, corporations, and individuals who share its vision of developing a sustainable, accredited rural training track in Amador County and to ultimately expand the area’s rural primary-care workforce.

The Advanced Skills Lab: Donors made this new lab a reality, and it comes at a perfect time as much of the country needs more skilled registered nurses. The lab will offer an elevated training program and will be the only one of its kind in the area. This lab will attract more skilled professionals to the area and will benefit the community with the best-trained personnel.

Sutter Roseville Graduate Medical Education Program

Sutter Roseville Medical Center is welcoming residents to a new, multidisciplinary physician graduate medical education program—becoming the latest, and largest, in Sutter’s integrated network to offer this advanced training to upcoming physicians. Sutter Roseville received accreditation for its physician residency program in internal medicine, following on the heels of its recent accreditation for surgery. These two tracks mark the first of at least five to come as Roseville’s GME program continues to grow over the next five years. The program will rely on support from foundations, corporations, and individuals who share its vision of a new multi-disciplinary residency program that will train future physicians and allow patients to continue to have adequate access to quality care.
