Giving you the tools you need to improve your health describes the heart of Sutter’s classes and events. We provide classes, seminars and community events hosted by experts who share the latest medical news and provide answers to your questions.
Classes, Seminars and More
As your health education partner, we offer interactive courses led by experts in their fields who share news and information in a way that’s easy to understand. Classes, lectures and workshops cover a wide range of topics, including aging, alternative medicine, disease management, senior physical fitness, mental health and stress and pregnancy.
Remember, each session of every course and program differs slightly depending on the concerns and questions you and other attendees raise.
Throughout the year, Sutter Health hosts and participates in several community events that encourage healthy living. These free events include:
- Community Health and Wellness Fairs
We also partner with national and international organizations to raise awareness of important health concerns. We have a longstanding relationship with the American Heart Association and participate in many Go Red activities in February.
Many Sutter Health events have become annual traditions within their communities. For example, the informative Women’s Health Luncheon and Lecture, hosted by Mills-Peninsula Medical Center since 2001, sells out every year; and ReRunway, a secondhand fashion show that rallies community support for cancer screening and services.
