Blood Flow Restoration
When a stroke is happening due to a blood vessel being blocked, the goal of emergent treatment is to restore blood flow to the brain. A neurointerventional specialist performs a procedure called a thrombectomy to remove the clot and restore blood flow to the brain. In 2023, Eden Medical Center restored blood flow for patients presenting with large clotting strokes at a favorable rate.

Time is of the Essence
Stroke Treatment is time sensitive. Every minute there is a disruption of blood flow to the brain, 2 million brain cells can be lost. Here at Eden Medical Center, we are proud of the ability to provide stroke treatment quickly. Patients presenting with significant disability related to stroke and undergoing thrombectomy have their interventional procedure started quickly following their arrival with the goal of minimizing long-term disability or functional impairment.
