Walk-In Sports and Camp Physicals

We make these exams fast and convenient at Sutter Walk-In Care. Even if it’s at the last minute, our highly-trained clinicians can perform the exam, fill out the necessary paperwork, and send you on your way — all on the same day.

The physical exam will include:

• Review of your health history
• Review of all immunizations to make sure they’re up to date
• Safety tips
• Simple physical assessment to determine if you are able to safely participate in sports or camp activities

You'll receive a printed assessment of the results. Make sure you bring the necessary forms provided by the school, sports league or camp for our clinicians to complete and sign. Our clinician can sign any necessary forms provided. Sports and camp physicals are $59, for ages 17 and younger. Anyone 18 years and older can receive a sports physical for the price of $129.

What You Should Know

Sutter Walk-In Care offers sports and camp physicals which must be paid by a credit card or flex-spending cards at the time of service. Most insurance plans reimburse for one annual physical per year. Our sports/camp physicals are not meant to replace an annual physical, and our clinicians encourage every child to receive yearly exams from a primary care physician. Therefore, insurance plans are not accepted for sports and camp physicals, so you can save that coverage for the more costly annual exams with your child’s regular doctor. 

We also do not issue “certificates of immunization” for immunizations provided at other doctors’ offices. We can only verify the vaccinations that were actually administered at Sutter Walk-In Care.

Your primary care physician (PCP) does not need to be affiliated with Sutter Health. We welcome all patients for Walk-In Care.
