Description
Study goal is to conduct an external evaluation of seven distinct palliative care projects, funded by the Stupski Foundation, which are being implemented at seven different healthcare organizations, including Sutter Health, across the SF Bay Area.
The aims of the study are to:
1. Quantify extent of program implementation with respect to frequency of delivery of planned services and assess early effectiveness outcomes.
2. Describe qualitatively what interventions are implemented by each grantee and why, including the fit between intervention and context, and barriers and facilitators to implementation.
3. Explore using mixed methods how interventions may have influenced outcomes as implemented in each unique context.
Karl Lorenz, M.D., MSHS, is the Stanford PI.
