The 2026 Application Window

The 2026 application window is from October 1st, 2025 – December 31st, 2025.

What You’ll Experience

Interns split their time between a mentored case study presentation and clinical observation in numerous specialties.

Case Presentation

As the capstone of the internship experience, the Clinical Case Presentation allows students to demonstrate their understanding of real-world medical cases through guided mentorship and independent research.

Each student works one-on-one with a physician mentor to:

  • Analyze a real patient case.
  • Investigate the clinical background, diagnostic process, and treatment plan
  • Explore relevant pathophysiology, evidence-based guidelines, and differential diagnoses.
  • Create a structured, academic-style case presentation poster.
  • Students present their cases in a formal setting to an audience that may include physicians, medical students, and peers. This presentation emphasizes clarity, clinical reasoning, and professional communication, preparing students for future roles in medical education and patient care.
