Catherine Pourdavoud, M.D., FAAP

Hello! My name is Dr. Catherine Pourdavoud Habash and I am a board-certified pediatrician passionate about caring for children and families with compassion, curiosity, and heart. It is an absolute joy and honor being a pediatrician. One of the best parts of being a pediatrician is watching children grow from infancy to adulthood.

My approach blends evidence-based medicine with a deep commitment to personalized thoughtful care, from a baby’s first days to a patient’s teen years. I emphasize preventative care in my practice and hope to help build healthy habits early in life. I believe that medicine is more than just diagnoses-it’s about connection, trust, and being there for families through every milestone. Whether I’m answering questions about newborn feeding, navigating school-age challenges, or supporting teens as they build confidence and independence, I’m here to empower and partner with parents every step of the way. I aim for both parents and patients to feel heard and truly cared for.

I strive to create an experience that is not only reassuring for parents but also fun, warm, and inviting for kids. In my exam room, laughter and stickers go hand-in-hand with stethoscopes and otoscopes. I love using playful tools such as my dinosaur reflex hammer or light up frog light, imagination, and a gentle tone to turn nervous moments into smiles, giggles, and proud high-fives. My goal is to help children feel safe, seen, and in charge of their health. 

I have special interests in newborn care and breastfeeding support, pediatric nutrition, and early literacy. I am also a certified lactation educator (CLE).

Dr. Pourdavoud loves spending time with her husband and goldendoodle. She enjoys cooking, baking, trying new restaurants, and gratitude journaling. To maintain a healthy lifestyle, she also loves pilates, barre, and Zumba exercise classes.
