Dung T. Le, M.D.

Dr. Le's philosophy of patient care is founded on compassion, active listening, and treating each patient as a whole person. She believes the physician's most valuable diagnostic tool is the ability to listen carefully to a patient's story and understand their immediate concerns, values, and goals. While modern diagnostic testing is an essential component of medical practice, she believes it should complement—not replace—careful clinical judgment, thoughtful history-taking, and a comprehensive physical examination. By integrating these elements, Dr. Le strives to deliver individualized, evidence-based care that addresses both acute medical needs and long-term health. As a board-certified Family Medicine physician with more than two decades of experience in family medicine, urgent care, inpatient medicine, and medical education, she is passionate about urgent care, preventive care, and improving access to high-quality healthcare. Her professional interests include teaching clinical reasoning, mentoring medical residents, medical students, nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, and promoting the principles of family medicine through evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. Dr. Le is committed to fostering trusting relationships with patients and empowering them to become active partners in their health, recognizing that optimal outcomes are achieved by caring for the physical, emotional, social, and cultural aspects of each individual's well-being.

Dr. Le serves as a Clinical Preceptor for UC Davis and California Northstate University medical, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant students and has mentored pre-med high school students since 2011. She also serves as a preceptor for the Paul Hom Free Clinic for UC Davis medical students and participated with the Center for Disease Control of Hanoi, MMC International Medicine in Vietnam. Her volunteer faculty appointments have included California Northstate University College of Medicine and Vin University College of Health Sciences.

Dr. Le enjoys spending time with family, gardening, reading, writing, travel, surfing, skiing, snowboarding, watching C-dramas, and teatime.
