Willa J. Chen, M.D.

As a hospitalist with a background in family medicine, Dr. Chen aims to provide holistic, thoughtful, and efficient patient-centered care during what can be a stressful and uncertain time. They value clear communication, collaboration, and ensuring that patients feel heard and supported in their decision-making.

Dr. Chen has a background in public health and is especially interested in improving access to care and supporting underserved communities. They are drawn to systems-level work that aims to make healthcare more equitable and sustainable.

Outside of Medicine, Dr. Chen enjoys exploring the Bay Area with their partner and their husky, traveling, and attending workout classes such as barre, rowing, boxing, yoga, and cycling. They also like trying new foods spots and studying languages for fun.
