If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately to be transported to the nearest emergency room. If you are not experiencing a life-threatening emergency, but need immediate and urgent medical attention, visit Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s emergency room. Our team of emergency medicine specialists provides life-saving care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Sutter Roseville Medical Center Emergency Department is located on the Sutter Roseville Medical Center campus at 1 Medical Plaza, with a dedicated entrance. Our Emergency Department treats more than 80,000 patients each year and is strategically located close to the diagnostic imaging, surgery and critical care areas.
In addition, we’re designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. This is the first advanced-level certification program designed to recognize primary stroke centers that make exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke patients.
Emergency room visits should be reserved for true emergencies, such as life-threatening accidents or chest pain. A visit to the emergency room without an actual emergency can be costly and inefficient, and detract medical care from individuals who truly need it. In some cases, a visit to our urgent care center may be more suitable.
Some of the common conditions treated in an emergency room include:
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe bleeding
- Chest pain or pressure
- Severe allergic reactions
- Moderate to severe burns or wounds
- Convulsions or seizures
- Serious head, neck or back injury
- Sudden inability to speak, see, walk or move
For medical problems that need to be treated right away but are not emergencies, Sutter Roseville offers an Urgent Care Center at 3 Medical Plaza. Our Urgent Care Center treats broken bones, high fever, moderate cuts or burns, severe sore throats and other conditions that should be seen by a doctor that day.
