In 2022, through the generosity of our donors, we were able to make significant strides in enhancing hospice, home health, and bereavement services.

Here are some of the impactful initiatives that were funded last year:

Hospice & Bereavement

Donor support has been instrumental in enabling Sutter Care at Home to offer its grief and bereavement services free of charge to all participants on an ongoing basis. This invaluable resource ensures that individuals who have experienced a loss have access to compassionate support, counseling, and educational programs. By removing financial barriers, we can extend the reach of our bereavement services and help individuals navigate their grief journey with care and understanding.

At Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, donor support was instrumental in funding the Hospice Service Line, which extends our services to the local community. Through community outreach initiatives, we have been able to educate the public about the range of hospice services available and offer support to those who are grieving a loss. Moreover, thanks to the generous donations, we have been able to acquire hospice books, provide webinars for staff, and invest in other resources that further enhance the level of care and support we provide to our patients and their families.

Home Health

Donations played a vital role last year in improving the quality of home care services. Through these funds, we were able to invest in specialized staff training, ensuring that our dedicated healthcare professionals are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care. Additionally, donations have facilitated the acquisition of essential medical equipment and supplies, enabling us to provide comprehensive and personalized care tailored to the unique needs of our patients and their families.

These enhancements go on to help patients like Jalisa and Chris.

Jalisa was in an unfortunate automobile accident and, as a result, was bedbound and required home health services that allowed her to heal and recover.

Chris’ mother, on the other hand, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and, following a series of unsuccessful treatments, decided to opt for hospice services.
