Breast Center Volunteer at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center

Duties include:

• Bringing patient back to changing room
• Check/Clean/Tidy changing room
• Check/stock treatment rooms
• Assist clerical staff as needed

Qualifications

• Friendly

• Basic understanding of English

• Ability to push a wheelchair
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
• Focus on customer service
• Be able to work with other volunteers and members of the Medical Staff

Training

• Apply online
• Attend a Virtual Information Meeting (90-minutes)
• Complete appropriate health testing and drug test (in person with our Employee Health Department; no charge to applicant)
• Pass a background check (completed online through an outside agency; no charge to applicant)
• Interview Virtually with Volunteer Services staff (45-minutes)
• Attend a Virtual orientation (2 hours)
• Complete online training on your own computer on your own time (~7 hours)
• Complete specific service area training (time is variable depending on the assignment)

3 hours shifts; Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
