Therapy (Outpatient) Volunteer at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center

Duties include:

• Check/stock gym cabinets supplies (towels)
• Check/Clean/Refill Blanket Warmer
• Organize/Clean Modality carts
• Organize/clean storage closet
• Check/fill Ice cups in freezer
• Pump gym balls
• Clean all equipment
• Label Blue Exercise Folders
• Check/stock gym cabinets Tx supplies
• Organize Biodex attachments
• Get ice to-go

Qualifications

• Friendly
• Outgoing
• Good communication skills
• Basic understanding of English
• Pro-active
• Ability to push a wheelchair
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
• Focus on customer service
• Be able to work with other volunteers and members of the Medical Staff

Training

• Apply online
• Attend a Virtual Information Meeting (90-minutes)
• Complete appropriate health testing and drug test (in person with our Employee Health Department; no charge to applicant)
• Pass a background check (completed online through an outside agency; no charge to applicant)
• Interview Virtually with Volunteer Services staff (45-minutes)
• Attend a Virtual orientation (2 hours)
• Complete online training on your own computer on your own time (~7 hours)
• Complete specific service area training (time is variable depending on the assignment)

3 hours shifts; Monday - Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
