Breast Lifts Without Implants?

Medically Reviewed by

Question

Is it possible to lift small breasts without needing implants to fill up the sagging skin?

Answer

A woman's breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness due to conditions such as pregnancy, breast feeding, weight changes, aging, and gravity.

A breast lift procedure raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissues to reshape the breasts with a more youthful, uplifted shape. A breast lift alone will not change the size of the breasts nor round out the upper portion of the breast. If larger breasts or upper pole fullness is desired, a breast lift with augmentation using implants is needed.
