I eat organic foods, so why are my sugars still high?

Question

I eat organic foods, so why are my sugars still high?

Answer

Eating organic foods means that you’re eating foods that are not treated with synthetic chemicals or pesticides. It doesn’t mean you’re eating low-carbohydrate foods. You still want to enjoy a modest portion size of carbohydrates, whether they’re organic or not. Organic potatoes, organic rice, organic pasta, organic breads and organic snack foods can elevate your blood sugars as much as their commercially grown counterparts.
