When beginning an exercise program, start slowly. Your goal should be to accumulate at least 150 minutes of exercise a week.
If you are overweight or obese, you also need to focus on losing weight. Reducing weight by seven percent is typically what I recommend. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and eliminating caloric drinks, including juices, is a good start. Reducing portion size is also effective.
Many of my patients have improved their glucose levels back within a normal range through these steps of weight loss and exercise, alone. Good luck and I wish you good health!
