Yor Guide to Pregnancy, Birth & Babies
Welcome to your go-to guide for pregnancy, labor and delivery, and newborn care. Sutter providers are by your side at each stage, with tips, support and comprehensive services at locations near you.
Start With the Right Provider
We're here from the first step, which is finding a provider who's right for you. At Sutter, 400+ pregnancy and childbirth team members, including OB/Gyns and certified nurse-midwives, are here to guide your maternity journey.
Find an OB/Gyn
Sutter OB/Gyns provide compassionate, expert care to support patients through every stage of pregnancy and beyond.
Find a Certified Nurse-Midwife
Certified nurse-midwives at Sutter offer personalized, holistic care throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum.
From your first appointment to your baby’s arrival, we have guidance about prenatal testing, fetal development and your changing body.

First Trimester
From weeks 1-13, your baby is busy building the foundation for every organ and system. You might notice new symptoms as your body adjusts.

Second Trimester
During weeks 14-27, your baby grows quickly and begins to move. You may feel more energetic as early symptoms fade, and checkups keep you on track.

Third Trimester
In weeks 28-40, your baby continues to grow and get ready for birth. You may feel more tired or uncomfortable, and prenatal visits help you prepare for delivery.
