What do other patients do to keep their motivation up for testing blood sugars, healthy diet, exercise?

Question:

I’m so tired of having diabetes. It’s like a full-time job. What do other patients do to keep their motivation up for testing blood sugars, healthy diet, exercise?

Answer:

Having diabetes is challenging and feels like a marathon, not a sprint. It’s normal to feel tired — a lot of patients do. Remember to give yourself credit for what you are doing and try not to blame yourself if things aren’t where you want them in the short term. Don’t be shy about reaching out to loved ones for support when you need a boost.
