With close to three million patients benefiting from seamless care across the Bay Area and Sacramento Valley, our residency program is backed by a legacy of excellence.

Sutter Health’s long-standing commitment to graduate medical education, coupled with its institutional accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), ensures that our OB/GYN Residency Program stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the country.

Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

Rooted in a tradition of clinical excellence, the ABSMC Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program is designed to shape medical practitioners who are compassionate, competent, and driven by curiosity. Our residents train under the guidance of esteemed board-certified physicians, who not only impart clinical wisdom but also mentor them to be lifelong learners and compassionate caregivers.

Recognizing the evolving landscape of healthcare, our program offers residents the opportunity to delve deep into the myriad subspecialties of Obstetrics and Gynecology while also ensuring a solid foundation in general women’s health.

In line with the Sutter Health vision, we emphasize a patient-centered, team-based approach, ensuring our residents are well-prepared to become leading physicians, insightful scientists, and influential healthcare leaders. Our commitment is to foster a diverse and inclusive environment, where every resident can achieve their fullest potential.
