Alta Bates Summit Medical Center - Internal Medicine Residency Program is dedicated to fostering residents into high-quality Internal Medicine physicians who are compassionate, collaborative, and interested in providing the highest quality of care and improved access for the community. In alignment with the mission of the Sponsoring Institution, Sutter Health, the program will work to enhance the well-being of the communities we serve through a commitment to compassion and excellence in the healthcare services provided.

There are 57 residents in the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center - Internal Medicine Residency Program, 19 residents in each class.

Salary, compensation, and benefits are commensurate to the residents’ current program year.
