The Jan Shrem & Maria Manetti Shrem Cardiovascular Fellowship builds the foundation for an elite cardiology career. Join our ACGME-accredited, three-year fellowship program, strategically positioned in a tertiary referral center for all of Northern California.

Train at the forefront of heart medicine as an integral member of our cardiovascular services and laboratories. In our tertiary referral center for all of Northern California, you’ll have the patients and technology to provide advanced cardiac care.
Prepare for your career with the leading technologies that make our program a major center of cardiovascular innovation. Nine cardiology fellows (three per year) work side-by-side with core faculty and attending cardiologists in every aspect of our division. Throughout your clinical training, you’ll also take an active role in supervising and teaching, researching and improving our processes.

Learn from dedicated cardiology leaders across our services, including interventional cardiology, structural heart, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure and cardiothoracic surgery.

Dedicated resources, including review courses and examination application assistance, support our 97.6% first-time passage rate for all certification examinations.

Train, teach and care for patients in state-of-the-art facilities with the latest innovations and technologies, including wearable ECG monitors, electronic stethoscopes and simulators for transesophageal echocardiography, pulmonary artery catheterization and arterial access.
