Testimonials
"The CPMC Cardiology Fellowship is unparalleled in the opportunities and mentorship it provides. The faculty is incredibly supportive and will walk to the ends of the earth to make sure you are achieving your full potential. As a general fellow, you are treated with the respect of a junior attending and are an active participant in every rotation, including subspecialty rotations. Over the course of 3 years, you will definitely find your passion within cardiology, developing lifelong relationships along the way."

“CPMC Cardiology Fellowship equipped me with the knowledge base and skills needed to be a strong cardiologist. My education came from the variety of patients I took care of, the mentorship of several seasoned cardiologists, the staff that had the patience for a growing physician, and my colleagues that backed me up every day. The institution gave me the resources to pursue independent research and utilize educational experiences across the country. It has been a challenging experience as certainly a cardiology fellowship."

“Cardiology fellowship training at CPMC is a fantastic experience. I was able to tailor the fellowship in order to meet my needs. I found I was extremely well prepared for interventional cardiology fellowship training based on the hand on experience I received at CPMC. The relationships I made at CPMC have continued to be valuable to me throughout my career”

“Not only were my attendings invested in my success as a fellow, they went above and beyond to help me find a wonderful job. I have found my attendings to now be exceptional colleagues, and they are always ready to provide me with a second opinion on challenging cases.
I chose CPMC because I wanted a program whose main objective was to train me to become an exceptional clinician. After graduating from the program, it's easy to see how well I was prepared. I have confidence in managing complex cardiac patients, relying on my procedural and imaging skills, and even participating in clinical trials.
The absence of advanced fellows at CPMC put me on the front lines with the interventionalists, electrophysiologists, and heart failure specialists. I entered into an imaging fellowship and then a clinical position with an excellent skillset and training most would consider advanced for a general cardiology fellow.
Although the main goal of a cardiology fellowship is to prepare trainees to become exceptional clinicians, another important component is to be a stepping stone into a successful cardiology career. I am confident I would not be so fortunate to have my job and career if I had not trained at CPMC”

"The cardiology fellowship at CPMC is an exceptional place to train for fellowship; it offers clinical experience in every aspect of the field of cardiology and has the flexibility to allow each fellow to pursue their chosen path. We form deep relationships within the department that allow for mentorship in not only clinically medicine but also research. We have the gift of being in the heart of San Francisco and therefore have the benefit of being a referral center for a highly diverse patient population with hugely varied pathology. Having recently graduated, one of the greatest intangible benefits is the strong alumni network all through the Bay Area and beyond. Given the program’s extensive history and notable alumni, when it comes to the final transition into an attending career, CMPC’s vast connections in the area is truly unparalleled. I am forever grateful for the excellent clinical training I received, the research opportunities to be involved with prospective and retrospective large registries alike, and the ability to truly individualize and develop the skills for my career.”
