Program Curriculum
Internal medicine residents will rotate through a wide range of general and subspecialty-based experiences, primarily based at Memorial Medical Center and Sutter Gould Medical Foundation Practices. Residents receive clinical training via bedside teaching, small group discussions, and didactic conferences. Our rotations comprise 13 four-week blocks.
PGY1
- Cardiology: 1 month
- Night Float: 1 month
- Emergency Medicine: 1 month
- Rural Med: 1 month
- ICU: 1 month
- Endocrinology: 1 month
- PCP: 1 month
- MTS: 1 month
- Elective: 1 month
PGY2
- Cardiology: 1 month
- Infectious Disease: 1 month
- Night Float: 1 month
- Neurology: 1 month
- ICU: 1 month
- Hematology/Oncology and Hospice & Palliative: 1 month (2 weeks each)
- Emergency Medicine: 1 month
- Community Medicine: 1 month
- Inpatient Medicine: 3 months
- Gastroenterology: 1 month
- Elective: 1 months
PGY3
- Night Float/Procedure: 1 month
- ICU: 2 months
- Rheumatology: 1 month
- Hematology/Oncology: 1 month
- Adv Hosp/TCM: 1 month
- Geriatrics: 1 month
- Community Medicine: 1 month
- Peri-Op/Ambulatory Clinic: 1 month
- Inpatient Medicine: 1 month
- Elective: 3 months
