Alexander J. Ball, M.D., MPH

Dr. Ball was drawn to pediatrics through his passion for teaching and building meaningful connections with children and families. He believes that caring for the whole patient requires understanding each family's values and priorities in order to provide truly personalized care. He takes the time to answer questions of all sizes and strives to help patients feel comfortable, confident, and supported. Dr. Ball emphasizes preventive care and enjoys caring for patients of all ages, with particular interests in newborn and adolescent care. He finds great fulfillment in supporting children and their families as they grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

A Bay Area native, Dr. Ball enjoys taking advantage of all the region has to offer. He loves exploring San Francisco's diverse food scene, spending time at the beach, and heading to the mountains for skiing and biking adventures. He especially values living close to family and longtime friends from childhood, medical school, residency, and beyond.
