During your office visit, my ultimate goal is to help you completely understand your symptoms, diagnosis, various test results and treatment modalities. I strongly encourage any questions from your end and answer to the best of my knowledge. I believe in finding the roots of your health problems in order to address both symptoms and cause of the disease.
In addition, I strongly believe in preventive medicine and aim to intervene before symptoms appear. Recognizing, educating and counseling about diseases you may be at risk for and guiding you to come up with appropriate preventive plan is one of my important roles as your physician. At the same time, I continue to learn and understand various ethical and socioeconomic backgrounds and their implications on health and respect your individual beliefs during the course of medical care.

I enjoy every type of office visit from routine physicals to acute symptoms to management of chronic medical problems. Certainly, I look forward for those visits when my patients return with a smile to tell me how excited they are that they lost so much weight, how proud they are that they stopped smoking or how much better they are feeling.
After all, a good patient-physician relationship based on mutual trust, honesty and communication is very important to provide excellent quality of care.

Additional personal information:
My passion for the medical profession dates back to my teenage years. I was fortunate to attend medical school in my hometown of Bangalore, India. After medical school, I worked for a local hospital in Bangalore, caring for acutely ill patients and emergency room patients. Upon arriving in the United States, I had the privilege of working as a hospitalist at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland after my residency in Internal Medicine. I joined PAMF's Dublin location in 2006.

Dr. Kadambi enjoys spending time with her son, playing with their dog and traveling. While at home, she enjoys cooking, working in the yard, assisting her husband with home improvement projects and listening to music. She loves shopping and says it is not difficult to spot her with her family at local shopping centers.
