Janice Kim, M.D.

I'm originally from San Francisco but have been in Sacramento for quite some time. I went to UC Davis for college, graduate school, and medical school, and then to Sutter Health in Sacramento for residency. College was when I met my husband and we married when I was in medical school. Out of our beautiful marriage came the most precious gift of all, a perfect little baby. With my roots in the Bay Area and desire for my son to know his family, we recently moved back to the Bay Area.

In medical school, I really enjoyed every aspect of medicine, including taking care of pediatric patients, adults, and pregnant women. I couldn't see myself just focusing on one part of the body, so going into Family Medicine seemed the most logical choice. I really enjoy the flexibility of practicing the full scope of medicine as a family physician, and the ability to take care of whole families from newborns to grandparents. I get to know some patients their whole lives and share special moments, whether it be the birth of a new baby or coordinating care for end of life. I truly feel like part of the family. My goal is to keep patients healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally and to help them with transitions in life. This is what drives me and I am excited about taking care of you.

Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with family, baking, paper crafting, and being outdoors.
