Monica G Harish, M.D.

As a physician and radiologist, I believe in patient-centered medical care. My job is to read MRI, CT and X-ray images and to provide differential diagnoses for the findings. However, my interpretation is reflective of my understanding of the patient behind each image, and I keep this in mind always. A patient's clinical presentation and medical history directly influence my interpretation. I act as a physician consultant to the primary doctor and my recommendations for follow-up care and/or management depend on these factors. My contact with patients is limited compared with clinical doctors, but I try to interact with patients as much as possible during their imaging examinations. I like to put a face to the images I read which, in turn, improves the accuracy of my reports. I believe medical care should be provided in a team/physician approach and I want to do my part in the most holistic way possible.

Dr. Harish is married and has two young children. She enjoys cooking and travel.
