Rakhi Mehrotra, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Rakhi Mehrotra is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 10 years of experience and is also a proud mother of three. Caring for children from birth through adolescence is both her profession and her passion. She enjoys getting to know her patients, building lasting relationships, and being part of their journey as they grow and develop. Dr. Mehrotra finds pediatrics to be one of the most rewarding fields of medicine and believes there is nothing quite like a child's warm smile or hug to brighten her day.

She believes every child deserves thoughtful, evidence-based care delivered with compassion. Her approach is centered on listening, understanding each family's concerns, and partnering with parents and caregivers to make the best decisions for their child's health. From newborn checkups to guiding teens through life's changes, Dr. Mehrotra is committed to supporting families at every stage.

Preventive care, nutrition, mental wellness, and healthy growth are at the heart of her practice. She strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and parents feel heard and supported. Dr. Mehrotra also has a special interest in caring for children on the autism spectrum and is dedicated to providing patient-centered, individualized care.

Her background in pediatric research at Tufts University inspired a lifelong commitment to learning and staying current with the latest advances in medicine. Beyond her clinical practice, she enjoys giving back through community service and volunteer work.

Dr. Mehrotra feels honored to partner with families as they navigate each stage of childhood, from welcoming a newborn to supporting a teenager through new challenges. She looks forward to meeting patients and their families and serving as a trusted partner in their health and well-being.

As a proud East Bay resident, Dr. Mehrotra believes in giving back to the community she calls home. She can often be found volunteering at local health fairs and family wellness events, including the BayFC/B You Mom's Clinic, where she provides pediatric care and counseling to children and families in need. She also enjoys participating in community activities and cultural events that celebrate diversity and help her stay connected to the vibrant communities she serves.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mehrotra has a lifelong passion for dance and enjoys performing with a local troupe. She also loves traveling and exploring new places with her family. Committed to a holistic approach to wellness, she practices yoga and meditation to maintain balance and well-being. These interests help her stay energized, grounded, and connected to both her patients and her community.
