The throat is the keeper of so many vital human processes: swallowing, breathing, and making a voice. These functions can often be affected by changes in the way the throat is used. My skill set can help guide patients through retraining the throat to improve function. I strongly believe this work is best done with a multidisciplinary approach to evaluation and treatment. As such, I work closely with ENT, particularly laryngology. While I specialize in all the above aspects of throat care, voice is my primary passion. For many, our voice is our primary tool for communication- each one unique to us and as human as we are. We use this incredible tool our entire lives and sometimes it needs some attention and retraining to work optimally. This is what I love to do- teach patients to use the voice that best represents them in a way that is easy, efficient, and sustainable.
