Alexander J Ball, M.D., MPH

A love of teaching and connecting with children and families first drew Dr. Ball to pediatrics. He believes caring for the whole patient means developing a strong understanding of a family’s values and priorities to truly personalize their care. He enjoys taking the time to answer questions big or small, and ensuring his patients feel at ease in their bodies and minds. The best part of his job is being able to support a young person and their family as they grow and realize their potential. Dr. Ball emphasizes preventive care and enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, with particular interests in newborn care, adolescent care, and LGBTQI+ patients and families.

Dr. Ball grew up in the Bay Area and enjoys all that our home has to offer. Highlights for him include exploring the food scene in San Francisco, spending time at the beach, and heading to the mountains for a weekend of skiing or biking. Best of all is living so close to family and friends from childhood, medical school, residency, and beyond.
