Allison N. Capizzi, M.D.

Dr. Capizzi is dedicated to helping patients recover function, maximize independence, and improve quality of life following brain injury and other neurologic conditions. Her approach combines specialized rehabilitation expertise with individualized treatment plans designed to address each patient's unique goals, challenges, and recovery needs.

Dr. Allison Capizzi is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with fellowship training in Brain Injury Medicine. She specializes in the rehabilitative care of patients with acquired brain injuries, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurologic conditions. Her academic work includes publications on spasticity management, aphasia treatment, traumatic brain injury recovery, headache management, and medication costs. She has a special interest in spasticity management and musculoskeletal medicine and has been recognized for excellence in teaching PM&R trainees. Dr. Capizzi serves as Co-Medical Director of inpatient rehabilitation services at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
