Bruce Eisendorf, M.D.

I try to understand my patients. I want to know what their experiences have been, what their joys and challenges are, and what's getting in the way of a deeper enjoyment of life. My studies with Dr. John Sarno, author of "Healing Back Pain," "The Mindbody Prescription," and other books, has strongly influenced my practice of medicine. Also, the study and practice of yoga, meditation, and the martial arts have convinced me that the mind and emotions have a profound effect on our physical and mental health and well-being. In addition to the standard office visit, I offer group office visits and have created a guided meditation CD to better serve the needs of my patients. I recognize my own limitations as a Western-trained physician and the additional benefits that can be gained from other complementary health practitioners. Therefore, I have a network of psychotherapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, osteopaths and other healers to whom I refer patients.

Dr. Eisendorf enjoys spending time with family and his pets (cats, dog, chickens), gardening, cooking, hiking, yoga, meditation, as well as reading and studying about diet, nutrition and complementary medicine.
