Calvin Chen, M.D.

I’ve had the opportunity of working in several different environments prior to joining PAMF, from a private 40 physician group practice in my hometown of Chicago, to training Stanford Internal Medicine resident physicians, to most recently serving as the medical director for an underserved clinic here in the Bay Area. Throughout these experiences I’ve found the most joy and satisfaction in partnering with my patients over time. That is why I chose family medicine – to have the opportunity to build relationships with my patients and their families. My philosophy of care is to make every effort to listen to what your concerns and goals are and to partner with you as your medical consultant to help achieve these goals. Since so much of our health is related not only to our physical needs, but also to our social, spiritual, and psychological needs as well, it is important to me to address these aspects of life as well.

Dr. Chen is married and has three children. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors biking, hiking, and playing tennis as well as enjoying music with his family.
