Frances L Xu, M.D.

I was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. After my undergraduate studies at UCLA, I completed my medical degree at USC and trained at the UCSF-affiliated John Muir Health Family Medicine Residency.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, I aim to provide high-quality primary care for all ages, whether patients are coming in for a routine check-up, an unexpected illness, or a long-term condition. I have an interest in helping patients with chronic conditions (for example, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, pain) and making sure that they have the tools to live their best lives. I have also had additional training in Integrative Medicine and management of opioid use disorder. I believe in caring for the whole person, including attention to both physical and mental wellbeing.

My commitment to my patients is to always try my best to do right by them; to take care of medical needs, to respect personal and cultural values, to offer a professional opinion, and to work together to achieve personalized health goals.
