Inderjeet Uppal, M.D.

Dr. Uppal chose the field of family medicine because it allows her to understand the complexities of a patient’s life in relation to their healthcare. Early influences in her life include the many family medicine physicians in her own family. She found it rewarding to witness the strong connections they developed with their patients.

As a Bay Area native who grew up within an extended Punjabi family, she has always valued the rich diversity of cultures in the region. During her undergraduate years at Santa Clara University, she chose to pursue Studio Art alongside Biology to achieve a well-balanced education and a broader outlook on life. This unique combination of interests and experiences has served her well throughout her medical training and continues to do so.

In each patient visit, she strives to understand the patient’s background to establish a solid foundation for providing personalized healthcare. She greatly enjoys caring for multiple generations within a family, with particular interests in women’s health and the care of children and adolescents.

Dr. Uppal enjoys hiking, reading and creating artwork. She also enjoys snowboarding with her husband.
