Jonathon R. Staples, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Staples is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in anterior hip replacement, robotic total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, complex revisions, and fracture care. He has worked to improve minimally invasive techniques for joint replacement and has been instrumental in bringing robotic-assisted joint replacement to the area. He graduated from Columbia University medical school at the top of his class, receiving Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a joint reconstruction and preservation fellowship at Stanford University. Dr. Staples has authored multiple peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. Since coming to Modesto, he has played a key role in establishing a Center of Excellence designation for joint replacement at Memorial Hospital. He is passionate about helping patients return to their healthiest lifestyles and believes that mutual trust and transparency are essential to the patient-physician relationship. He strives to provide the highest quality care while educating patients and empowering them to be active decision-makers in their health.
