Philosophy of Care

Dr. Krishna Bhaskarabhatla is an American Board-Certified Family Physician, a Leader in Family Medicine, and a strong patient advocate for quality improvement, disease prevention and health promotion.

His clinical work includes taking care of patients principally in ambulatory facilities but also encompasses inpatient and subacute nursing settings. His philosophy of care is to strive to promote cardiovascular health with emphasis on prevention, early diagnosis, and effective management.

He attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at the St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in the United States of America and Andhra University Medical College in India.

His passion for Cardiovascular Health Promotion led him to his first journey overseas from India to Cardiff, Wales to study Health Promotion and Health Education at the Institute for Health Promotion, University of Wales College of Medicine in the United Kingdom.

He has expertise in chronic disease management, lifestyle medicine and health promotion and disease prevention. Dr. Bhaskarabhatla's ongoing research includes his work on "Socio-cultural determinants and Implications for Cardiovascular Health Promotion," "Art in promoting Health Literacy" and "Criteria, Scales and Measures in Clinical Medicine and Research." He strives to promote cardiovascular health in the communities.

Community Activities

Dr. Krishna V. Bhaskarabhatla has volunteered with the American Heart Association as a community speaker in New Jersey. He has authored six publications and has received more than 30 citations for his work. He has also presented at numerous regional, national, and international scientific conferences.

In addition to his academic and community involvement, Dr. Bhaskarabhatla develops educational initiatives and activities that promote health literacy. He is particularly interested in using art as a tool to enhance health education, helping individuals and communities better understand and engage with important health information.

In his leisure time, Dr. Krishna V. Bhaskarabhatla enjoys cooking, watercolor painting, reading, and taking long walks.
