Mengyou Wu, M.D.

Dr. Mengyou Wu has lived in many places throughout her life, from the cold climates of Montreal and Minnesota to the temperate weather of the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Mengyou Wu chose to pursue pediatrics for many reasons, including her love of working with children and their families. She is passionate about helping children thrive while building meaningful relationships with their caregivers through education, collaboration, and compassionate care. She strives to provide every patient with a listening ear, a warm smile, and a positive experience, while delivering comprehensive, patient-centered, and preventive care to support their long-term health and well-being.

She earned her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Duke University in North Carolina and obtained her medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Throughout her journey, however, she has always considered herself a Californian and was thrilled to complete her pediatric residency at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center and continue caring for families in the Bay Area.

Outside of Medicine, personal interests include when she is not caring for patients. Dr. Wu enjoys pursuing her passions for art, Chinese dance, reading, and hiking. She finds few things more relaxing than hiking to one of California’s many beautiful destinations, where she enjoys watercolor painting and spending time with a good book.
