Paul J Kim, M.D.

Family medicine provides me the unique opportunity of caring for the entire family, from infancy to adulthood. As the father of three children, I understand the unique challenges and joys of caring for our little ones. I enjoy seeing my young patients grow up, and working with their parents to address their children's specific health needs. I also enjoy the relationships that I have made with my adult patients.

My mission is to provide the family with compassionate and comprehensive care. It is very important to me to listen well to your concerns and to clearly communicate the options that would best address your health issues. Often our health is influenced not only by various physical illnesses but also the psychological, social and spiritual needs that so often affect us. I hope to provide the best possible care in addressing your particular concerns, striving to prevent illness, and working with you in order to optimize your health and well-being.

I have had the privilege of working in private practice in the Central Valley of California for a number of years. I also worked overseas with the underserved in Nigeria, Vietnam, Cambodia, and, most recently, China. (If you are interested in hearing more, I would be more than happy to share some of my more harrowing stories.) Through each experience, I have learned to appreciate the unique health issues that we face, which are often influenced by our culture and worldview. Despite the diversity of cultures, everyone desires quality care for themselves and for their loved ones. The resilience, perseverance, and grace with which my patients have endured various challenges continue to amaze and humble me. I hope to celebrate with you in your successes and to encourage you in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Dr. Kim is married and has three children. He enjoys traveling, tennis, playing guitar and singing.
