I aim to treat every patient the way I would treat a beloved family member. I enjoy caring for the whole person and learning how I can support their individual priorities for their health.

Community Activities

Dr. Rigo is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). She has presented research at national conferences, including ACMS, ASDS, and the Society of Investigative Dermatology. She also gave an expert talk at the AAD about promoting safety in dermatologic surgery.

Dr. Rigo has authored many peer-reviewed articles on topics such as surgical education, field therapy for pre-cancers, non-surgical treatments for skin cancer, duration of local anesthesia, hair follicle genetics, and Kaposi sarcoma. She is an author of the chapter on botulinum toxin in one of the top Dermatology textbooks, and also contributed to a laboratory manual that sets the standard for performing high quality Mohs micrographic surgery.

Personal Interests

Dr. Rigo enjoys spending time with her family, especially in nature. She competed as a varsity track and cross country athlete at the University of Michigan.

More About This Provider

Dr. Rigo is double board certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. She trained for nearly a decade in New York City, graduating from Columbia University medical school, including a year in the Angela Christiano Lab studying hair follicle genetics. She completed an Internal Medicine internship at Mount Sinai - St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals, followed by Dermatology residency at New York-Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She served as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Rigo went on to finish her Mohs Surgery fellowship at UCSF, where she also received extensive cosmetic and laser training.
